When purchasing a replacement engine, a core deposit of EUR 600 to EUR 1,200 is charged. The exact amount is stated in the quotation or invoice. The core deposit can only be refunded after the old engine has been returned and inspected.

The return must be registered in full using the return form within 30 calendar days starting on the day the engine is delivered. The decisive date is the timely receipt of the fully completed form. The actual collection may take place after the deadline. If the return is not registered on time, the right to collection and the right to a refund of the core deposit are forfeited.

Registration within the deadline does not by itself create a right to a refund. The returned engine will be inspected after receipt. A crack or hole excludes a refund of the core deposit. Mechanical damage or problems require an inspection by Fair Motors before a decision is made. In practice, rejection solely because of a mechanical problem is very rare.
